The Biden administration’s decision to continue to pause student debt has made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many borrowers, but these borrowers still live with the uncertainty of not knowing when they will need to drastically alter their finances in order to begin repaying their loans. BEDFORD HEIGHTS, OH - Workers at the Sherwin-Williams aerosol plant in Bedford Heights have entered their fifth week on the picket line. The workers are represented by United Steelworkers Local 14919, an affiliate of the North Shore AFL-CIO. While the workers have been on strike since February, they have been without a contract since November.
CLEVELAND, OH - The North Shore AFL-CIO Federation of Labor welcomed Interior Secretary Deb Haaland to Cleveland on Friday for a roundtable discussion with area labor leaders at the Laborers Local 310 Union Hall. Secretary Haaland traveled to Ohio to announce $4.7 million in funding for abandoned mine land reclamation and $256 million to clean up abandoned oil and gas wells. The money comes from President Biden's bipartisan infrastructure law, which is expected to bring $9.7 billion in infrastructure improvements to Ohio.
