BEDFORD HEIGHTS, OH - Workers at the Sherwin-Williams aerosol plant in Bedford Heights have entered their fifth week on the picket line. The workers are represented by United Steelworkers Local 14919, an affiliate of the North Shore AFL-CIO. While the workers have been on strike since February, they have been without a contract since November.

Workers are on strike in demand of a four-percent cost-of-living increase and better pension and attendance policy benefits. Workers feel they deserve a cut of the profits, especially when the CEO of Sherwin-Williams earns 327 times the average worker's pay. His earnings reached $15 million in 2020.
